Q: My wife and myself are trying to adopt through ICPC process we keep getting blocked by my fingerprint clearence card I submitted and they denied with the ability to appeal and my letters of offence description keep being denied not enough info what do
show answer...A: close answer...Arizona is a signatory of the Interstate Compact on Placement
of Children. Whenever there is an interstate adoption, compliance with
the Compact is required. In Arizona, DES is the agency which assures
compliance with the Compact. The home study, the consents for adoption,
a non-identifying medical social form and a form 100A must be submitted
to the Interstate Compact Administration in both states. As a part of
the home study, fingerprints and a criminal history are required. If
there are any questions about a criminal history, consultation with a
criminal attorney and adoption attorney would be helpful.
