Name and Shift:  Mistress of Rock Miss Joni
(On The Wolf from 3pm to 7pm)
Favorite thing about my job.  Well, I would have to say that my favorite aspect of my job is the simple fact that I am actually paid (who would have thought) to listen to awesome music all day long, dance around like a maniac, sing off key and of course talk…Finally something I am good at!
Best song on the radio right now  When it comes to The Wolf I love anything metal…I am a hardcore metal head, it speaks to my inner rock n’ roll girl. Head banging makes the world go round!
Favorite group or artist  My favorite metal group at the moment is Pantera, but I also dig the good ol’ standbys of Metallica, Judas Priest, The Scorpions, Twisted Sister…the harder the better. If it has a heavy guitar and some slammin’ drums Miss Joni is going to love, love, love it!
Hobbies and or past times:  Believe it or not my past times don’t include dressing up in leather pants and painting my eyes black while creating mosh pits in my living room. Even I have a soft side…I like to do yoga and lots of it, I knit, and I even make birdhouses. Oh who am I kidding? My favorite past times are alphabetizing my metal CD’s, playing with my rock star action figures, and dressing my dog up in Kiss costumes. ..What can I say? My neighbors think I am a freak and maybe their right.
Favorite concert : Let’s see Kiss was my first concert so that of course will always hold a special place in my heart, but I also have this "thing" for Rob Zombie (seriously, he has a nice nose and I love big noses) so his concerts have also been pretty sweet. It really doesn’t matter what concert it is, as long as it’s loud, crazy and there’s a mosh pit I am going to love it!
Favorite TV show  Did you know that VH1 classics has Friday night Metal Night? Yeah, neither did I until about two weeks ago. So now you know where to find me on a Friday night…who needs a date when I can hang out with Rob Halford all night?
As A kid I was like… Well, I was a nerd, a geek, a dork, a weirdo…whatever the "cool kids" call it now in days…I was defiantly not cool. However, now I think I am the coolest chic alive…well, next to Joan Jett of course.
What got me into radio business?  To be honest I just sort of fell into it. I was the only metal girl in the small town in North Dakota where I grew up and the local station needed someone who knew a lot about metal…so hence the job in radio 9 years later.
One person dead or alive I’d like to meet or have met… Hmmmm, lets see I have been privy to meet some "rock stars" in my day, but for this one I am going to go in the complete opposite direction and say I would like to meet Aristotle or perhaps Socrates…someone with which I could have an intellectual conversation...did I mention that I am also a genius?
The last CD I bought I just bought Undertow by Tool…its ok, I am sort of digging on it…but I don’t have the patience to sit thru 69 minutes of instrumental crap even if it is Tool.
My first concert… Kiss on tour in 1997 at the Fargo Dome in North Dakota (on a school night non the less)…I even had my face painted
I have a magic bottle, my 3 wishes would be:

A. The hippie in me says to wish for world peace and happiness first, and then I can selfish.
B. To be a household name…the female Howard Stern would be nice
C. Oh, and maybe I could be a vampire…but with the choice of not living forever, or the choice to make certain people live forever with me.

If you were to look into my CD collection at home you would find: Well, this is a little embarrassing, but I will admit it to you…there’s the usual head bangers collection, but there’s also everything from Collective soul to classical music and everything in between.
If you were to peak in to my DVD collection you’d find:  You would find a wide assortment of "stupid" comedies. Really, who wants to spend their spare time sobbing into a bowl of popcorn? I sure don’t…laughing is much better for the soul my friends!
